Hi. My name's Chris. I live in Seattle, Washington, and I just moved here (as of September of 2007) after having spent seven wonderful years in Sacramento, California. I am a musician and illustrator. I am really new to working in graphic design and illustration, and I have a lot of practical experience to gain.

I like listening to and playing lots of different kinds of music, mostly indie pop and old, old jazz.

I like playing music and drawing. I used to play keyboards and trumpet and sing in a sort of indie/pop band called Munia (hence my journal name). In case you're wondering, a Munia is a cute little bird.

I have a solo recording project called the Seven Arms of Shiva in which all instruments are played by me on cornet, trombone, piano, ukulele, bass, tuba, tenor sax, clarinet, banjo, guitar, and whatever else I can make decent noises on. The music is largely based on traditional jazz music and pop and novelty songs from the 1920's and 30's. I used to play trumpet in Baby Grand, up until I moved out of Sacramento. Baby Grand was a really great band, and a really great group of individuals.

I live with my BoyFriend Alan and our room mate Aaron in a nice little house on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Alan also plays lots of music, and does his own recordings as well. He works for Amazon.com.

If you're going to post on here, that's fine, just don't pop out of nowhere and start talking. Introduce yourself and open a line of dialogue. This is NOT a forum, it is my personal online blog. If you don't know what I'm talking about when I say "Introduce yourself" or "open a line of dialogue", then you're probably better off not saying anything or taking it somewhere else.
